It opens by sliding the top across allowing for full access. Inside the box, the bottom is lined with lucious black velvet. A great box for anyone who loves the wonderful concept of Day of the Dead!

Reminiscent of the spirtual desert and cliff dwellers' petroglyphs that still exist in tucked away places. Some of the first most primal art that gave modern man a glimpse into the life of these early people.
