Bloomington, IN - As part of its strategic vision to offer entrepreneurial and educational opportunities to the creative community, the City of Bloomington's Entertainment and Arts District (BEAD) is hosting workshops on social media networking on Friday, Feb. 12th, from 9:00 am – 1:15 pm in the Bloomington City Council Chambers, 401 N. Morton Street.
These workshops are sponsored by the Indiana Arts Commission.

The workshops will cover two areas of web-based marketing platforms of interest to artists and arts and cultural organizations: social media marketing and Etsy. Sarah "Intellagirl" Robbins will be providing the keynote on social media marketing for artists and arts and cultural organizations from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Two break-out sessions will follow at 11:15: Robbins will be offering a hands-on session on social media marketing and Jon and Patricia Hecker will be offering a beakout session on Etsy for those who want to find out how to sell art on the web, set up their own shop, or enhance their current Etsy presence.
