Solstice Greetings!

This 52nd week of the year greets us with single digit temperatures and blowing wind. The winds of change I have spoken about before. Today is Winter Solstice! The sun is the farthest from the equator. This becomes a time for contemplation. A time to think and sit quietly. I've been blocking out the media of late and feel much better. So many things beyond my control and news that doesn't make me feel good.
For me this is a time to go within. Not that the date on a calendar gives me permission to do so. The deep cold of winter and the howling winds set the stage for change, both externally and internally.
A window for quiet.
I've blogged many times this year about change.
In the early part of the year, the change was the anticipation of the coming months and the election. With that behind us, the change now comes from the shift in presidential leadership and the hope he brings.
A stirring of events that will shape things in so many new ways.

Here on Purple Hill, we too are going through change. New ways to work and market to keep our livelihoods viable in an ever changing marketplace are top on our list.
Next week, our little Baxter is getting fixed and joining our tiger family here in the Purple House.
I am the mom of 4 furry sons! Who ever thought I'd be so woefully outnumbered!
It's change!
You can like it, love it, fail to embrace it, but one thing you cannot do is stop it.

"Changes are not permanent, but change is"

So on this windy sunny Solstice I give thanks.
Thanks for the sun that lights the day.
Thanks for the moon that lights the night.
And thanks for change that gives me hope.

Abundant Blessings~

★★★ Change Is On The Way!! ★★★

I have one home.
There are times when I wonder how I can pay for it.
Do you need 7 homes?
Do you need 10 homes?
I don't begrudge wealth.
I do question the moral compass of people who run for President of the Untited States
who have no clue what life for it's inhabitants is really like.
How can you be for the people when you have no idea what kind of lives real people have?

My hope and my prayer for this country is seated in Change!

Vote!

Open your eyes!
Become informed.
Articulate the facts.
Make change happen.
All is within your power.

It is your moral obligation as a citizen of this planet!
It's about passion.
It's about restoring what so many have fought and died for!

•• Change ••

♥´¨)
¸,•´¸.•´¨) ¸.•*¨)
{¸.*´ (¸.*`¤~Last night we had incredible wind here on the hill. Sometime during the night big fat rain woke us. Change is brewing. We're to have thunderstorms and high wind move through which is supposed to bring accumulating snowfall. Then again, this is Indiana and we generally don't get too much snow. I'll believe it when I see it!

What I do like is the concept of weather bringing about change. This is how it works in my universe. The bells and chimes across our property are busy and all this stirred energy is bound to change other things as well. Last nights State of the Union...........what a joke! At least it's the last for Bush. A lame duck president signing autographs, acting like a rock star. Guess everyone is entitled to their 15 minutes of fame. He had to embrace the very small sector of popularity he could find. The very few who admire his train wreck administration were gathered applauding a horrible excuse for a leader. His far flung right wing ideals that cater to the rich, overlook the poor and further isolate gay people. So much for uniting. He is the quintessential divider!

Change..........357 days.

With calendars and countdown clocks made to remind the public of how many days are left in his sorry reign, you have to know even people who voted for this "wet dream" are ready to see him exit. I am!

My life as an artist under his wreckess mis-administration seems to go from bad to worse. I have friends loosing their homes and studios and the rest of us wondering how to hang on. I never had this problem or lack of optimism with a Democrat at the helm. I'm looking forward to getting my life and career back next January!!

So, with the winds of change brewing, I look to Hillary or Obama!! I'd be fine with either one.

•Crushing Silence•

•Crushing Silence•

All I live for is now
All I stand for is where and how
All I wish for are magic moments

As I sail through change
My resolve remains the same
What I chose are magic moments

Because ships are safe in the harbour
But that is not what ships are made for
The mind could stretch much further
But it seems that is not what our minds are trained for

We call for random order
You can't control Mother nature's daughter

Ships are safe in the harbour
But that is not what ships are built for

The witch hunter roams
The scary thing is that he's not alone
He's trying to down my magic moments

As we sail through change
Ride the wind of a silent rage
And sing laments of magic moments
